| Lessac Kinesensic
Training is unique in its holistic, comprehensive and creative
approach to all aspects of developing the body and the voice, for
speech and singing and as creative instruments of communication,
behavior and perception. |
| |
| Kinesensic training
is a self-teaching, sensory-based process based on feeling the way
the human body functions naturally when it is free of adverse
conditioning. It then uses those physical sensations to identify,
produce and voluntarily control the voice and body. |

| What have others said?
|
| |
| “The Lessac
approach…is real therapy for voice and body. The more you do it, the
better you feel. It’s a boon to anyone…once learned, it never
deserts you…” ---Frank Langella, Actor, Tony Award winner for
Best Actor in a Featured Role, (Fortune’s Fool), 2002
|
| |
| “This work turns you
inside out. It reveals and confronts you with your self-imposed
limitations. It transformed my voice in four weeks.” --Gert Terny,
Belgian Actor |
| |
| “I have gained a
great personal power from Lessac voice and body training that I want
to impart to my students, not only as a way of acting, but as a way
of being.” --Karen Berman, President, Association for Theatre in
Higher Education |
| |
| “A totally holistic
approach to the liberation, empowerment, and training of the voice
and body. Bravo!” ---Kathryn Maes, Dean, Theatre, Film and
Video Production, College of Arts & Media, University of Colorado at
Denver and Health Science Center (UCDHSC). |
| |
| “I have made the
Lessac work a part of both my personal life and my professional life
as a teacher, actor, director, and coach. The work has provided me
with a 100% reliable method for training voices and myriad ways to
explore text with actors.” ---Deborah Kinghorn, Chair, Department
of Theatre and Dance, University of New Hampshire |
| |
| "To say the Lessac
Intensive work changes your life is inadequate. In this setting of
safety and trust, awareness of personal process and creative
development thrive. It is an experience that not only has changed my
vocal life as an actor, singer and teacher, but it will always be a
part of my personal life. The Intensive is fertile ground for
personal growth and professional development. It is learning as it
should be.”---Patricia Finn Rapiejko, THEATREWORKS, Artistic
Director |
