2006 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

My dear friends & 'family',

In the spirit of last weekend, I'm still bubbling! This was undoubtedly one of greatest events of my life. Such passion from you all, so many new things, such a fine and exemplary use of exploration within the work! There is a convenient forward motion at play now that is tantalizing to witness. Thank goodness for all of you, the work you did to create the conference, the work you brought to the conference, the work you all do every day with kinesensics. May we merrily build upon what you all have done.

Many best wishes,

Arthur

"The conference was a wonderful opportunity for those of us using the Lessac work to learn from others who are perhaps using it in slightly different ways or in different settings. It was an inspiration and a great refresher." (Naomi Baker, Lessac Practitioner)

“The first Annual Lessac Conference in Denver was inspirational. It was NRG filled from beginning to end. What a wonderful way to meet other Lessac trainers, artists and educators. I was particularly touched in Deborah Kinghorn’s reception speech when she mentioned she was a part of this family through the “lonely times.” I think we have all felt this way as creative explorers. This conference let me know we are not alone. We have the musical vibration of Arthur’s love NRG to support us as individuals and as a group. I always feel at home in the Lessac family. It is filled with the most amazing people I have ever met. Thank you for inviting me in.” (Robin Aronson, member)

MEET & GREET

"The Lessac conference inspired me in so many ways. I learned how the Lessac Work has helped not in only in speech therapy, but also in physical therapy. Arthur's work is also having an impact with incarcirated youth. This is a universal voice and body sensory system that not only transforms theatre artists, but also changes the human condition in challenging health situations, both mentally and physically." (Kathleen Dunn, Certified Trainer)

TEACHING

"The Denver conference (for me) was a sheer delight! Indeed, it was about "Renewing The Work"; and I go back several decades with Arthur and Sue Anne and Dick and others. Finally, I met and learned from "luminaries" like Debby and Nancy; and also a host of folks who are the next generation of Arthur's fine work. Special thanks to Kathy, Sean and others for organizing the event and making it work effortlessly, and above all for making me feel welcome.... as a part of the Lessac heritage. And now.... I have new applications and explorations to explore at my studio...." (Bill Smith (Acting Studio) Member)

The Lessac conference was a welcome opportunity to re-connect with my beloved teachers to experience once again the principles and precepts of the work (and their evolution) to re-discover the healthy, empowering possibilities of the work for every human voice to re-affirm my belief that this work WORKS, with nary a guru in sight (Kate Burke, Member)

"Imagine my astonishment when I not only got my limping husband safely back home, but also got an exceptionally beautiful award--the thought behind it as well as the physical piece.  Well, I truly feel like I "am the least", but am so totally honored to be considered in the company of the other award recipients. Oh, how I would have loved to have been there to see everyone and be a part of the wonderful conference experience that Dick describes. I do thank you all and am truly awed at your thoughtfulness." (Saundra Cuyler, Certified Trainer, "Original Team")

"For an inaugural event the conference came off with flying colors. It helped so much to have Kathy Maes at the Denver end organizing the nitty-gritty stuff. I felt the conference was very well planned and executed....the hotel was most accommodating to our needs. Hurrah! " (Dick Cuyler, Master Teacher, "Original Team")
